While I always enjoy a good underwater shoot, I was a bit disappointed with Thomas Rusch's photos. I really loved the fabrics used to line the pool but the bubbles seemed a little messy to me in some of the shots. The bubbles and disrupted surface water in the first, second and third picture worked really well but in the last two they became a distraction. Maybe he was trying to catch the light or add motion to the scene, but I thought the bubbles took away from the gorgeous and unique use of fabrics and materials used in the backgrounds. Maybe its just me but mixed emotions on this one.
